

Dr Martin Scurr, MB, BS, MRCS, MRCP, MRCGP.
Martin is the Chairman of The Independent Doctor's Forum (IDF) with a membership of over 600 private physicians. He founded his private practice in 1977, based on three perspectives: Biomechanical, Anticipatory, and Interpretive medicine. Martin links objective scientific medicine with the subjective benefits of complementary medicine. He is a graduate of the Westminster Medical School.
Dr. Elizabeth Nelson, OBE.
Liz Nelson founded and chaired Taylor Nelson Sofres plc and has held numerous public sector board positions including Chief Executive of the Princess Royal Trust for Carers, Chair of the UK Eco-labelling Board and Deputy Chair of Council of the United States Open University. From January 2002 until August 2003 Liz was a consultant to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and chaired the executive committee of their fundraising and research arm, WellBeing. Liz was born in the USA and graduated from Middlebury College, cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She earned a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology at the University of London.
Josephine Quintavalle
Josephine founded Comment on Reproductive Ethics (CORE) in 1994, with 15 other colleagues. CORE is a public interest group focusing on ethical dilemmas surrounding human reproduction, particularly the new technologies of assisted conception. CORE aims to facilitate informed and balanced debate, to encourage participation of social scientists and bring about democratic reform to the legislation controlling related practices.
Dr Ann Smith, B.Sc., Ph.D., C.Biol., M.I. Biol. P.G.C.E.
Ann has worked in the NHS in the field of Haematopoietic Progenitor Cell Transplantation for a total 20 years, 15 of which have been as Scientific Director. Throughout her career, Ann has established a solid track record in research focussing on leukaemia, neutropenia and normal haemopoiesis and she continues to contribute to the literature and lecture in these disciplines. Between 2001 and 2005 she enjoyed a break from the NHS as a Senior Lecturer in Haematology and Immunology and Laboratory Director for the Centre for Research in Biomedicine in the University of the West of England, Bristol where she continues a link as a Research Fellow. In addition to Ann’s current NHS role as Scientific Director in a tertiary referral transplant centre, she is also a Senior Fellow in the School of Post Graduate Medicine at Surrey University. In 2007 Ann accepted the invitation to act in the capacity of Scientific Advisor to Smart Cells International.
