Maternal tests

Why do we need Maternal blood tests?   
                                                                                                                                                                      Maternal blood tests are taken and screened for:
 
·         HIV 1&2 Antibodies
·         Syphilis
·         Hepatitis B surface Antigen & Core
·         Hepatitis C Antibodies
·         HTLV (Human T-Cell Lympotrophic Virus)
 
We undertake them to ensure the cells are healthy and pose no risk to potential recipients.
The cost of maternal blood tests for is covered in our fee, in the SmartBaby service price.
We ask for two maternal blood tests,
 
1st Blood Test 
Taklen 30 days prior to the birth or up to 7 days after a
 
2nd Blood Test 
This is due after 6 months after your baby is born. Smart Cells will contact you with details to obtain your final blood test.
